Ken Matsuzaki

Ken Matsuzaki

Born in Tokyo in 1950 as the third son of Japanese painter Shuki Matsuzaki.
After graduating from Tamagawa University's Department of Art and Ceramic Art in 1972, he became a disciple of Tatsuzo Shimaoka.
1977: Established kiln in Mashiko Town, where it continues to this day
1978 Solo exhibition at Keio Department Store, Shinjuku branch (every year thereafter)
1980: Received the Nojima Award from the Kokugakai
Solo exhibition at Hankyu Department Store, Osaka Umeda Main Branch (and every year thereafter)
1982: Member of the Kokugakai Association
1984: Received the Kokugakai Fellow Works Award
1986: Member of the Kokugakai
1993: Master and Student Exhibition at the Modern Japanese Ceramic Art Exhibition at Elysian Art in New York
1995 Group exhibition at GALLERY DAI ICHI ARTS, New York
