Born in 1977. Graduated from the New England School of Photography.
He moved to the United States in 2000, and after returning to Japan, he started making pottery in earnest in 2013 while working as a photographer. With a fresh sensibility that comes from his unusual background, Matsuzaki Miki approaches making traditional Mino-style pottery. His pottery style involves simultaneously hand-forming and carving, and carefully pursuing the shape he envisions, producing tea bowls with a variety of expressions that fit comfortably in the palm of your hand.
