Tsuneo Yushimizu

Born in Tokushima Prefecture in 1936
1955 Graduated from Tokyo Metropolitan Shinjuku High School
1973: Completed doctoral course at Waseda University (Art History)
1968-1970 Doctoral studies at Charles University in Prague

He taught at Waseda University, Tama Art University, and other institutions, and in 1981 opened the Tokyo Glass Art Institute.

1968-2012 Lecturer at Seijo University, Wako University, Tama Art University, Waseda University, Iwate University, Gunma Women's University, Japan Women's University, and other institutions
Visiting professor at National Taiwan University of Arts, judge for the Venice Contemporary Glass Biennale, auditor for the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition, judge for the Asahi Contemporary Crafts Exhibition, Tableware Festival, Kanagawa Shippo Exhibition, Kanagawa Prefectural Art Exhibition, and others.
1st Kitagawa Momoo Award, Ryusa Kaisai Scholarship Member

Solo exhibitions: Paris, Hamburg, New York, and various parts of Japan
TV appearances: NHK Women's Diary, Human University, Hobby Encyclopedia, Sunday Art Museum, Otoko no Shokusai, and many others
