"Shooting down a flying bird" - what powerful words.
Both the bird that flies into the sky and the one who tries to shoot it have power.
The flying birds are the artworks, and the shooters are the collectors. That is where the name of this project comes from.
Ginza Ippodo will kick off the new year of 2022 with its annual "Flying Birds Exhibition," now in its seventh year.
This time, five new artists were added, bringing the total to 25 works from all over the country. It's fun.
Just a short time ago, airplanes flew so freely around the world that the Earth seemed small.
Although the world has been thrown into chaos and life has become more difficult due to a tiny, invisible virus, artists continue to create in silence.
And maybe you've discovered something special at a time like this.
I hope you will feel their youthful energy and talent.
Ippodo will fly with them into the sky towards a bright future.
