Until 10 months ago, airplanes flew all over the world, we could easily go to any country, and we thought the Earth was a small planet. A blue planet. Humans have been drawing pictures and creating beautiful things since ancient times.
Amid the inconveniences of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have begun to see the people, things, and events that are important to us. We have learned that art is important in a world of advanced science and technology, and that arts and crafts, along with music, are a common language around the world.
Ippodo has recently brought together art and craft works from around the world in an exhibition entitled "Come Across the Sea." The exhibition will feature attractive works by overseas artists who have worked with Ippodo New York, as well as works by Japanese artists who have studied and created in countries such as the UK, Italy, Germany and the US.
While each country has its own characteristics and identity, art speaks like a universal language. Now that it is difficult to travel the world, we hope you will enjoy an art journey in Ginza.
