As the summer cicadas come to an end, autumn insects begin to chirp.
While the whole world was exhausted by the pandemic, the Tokyo Olympics were held, and it was a summer filled with applause and tears as we watched the athletes' hard work.
The athletes playing sports were truly beautiful.
Now, this year marks the 22nd Ginza Ippodo annual Moonlit Tea Ceremony.
The theme this time was "Open the window..." The imperial theme for next year's New Year's poetry gathering will be "Windows."
It was a restrictive 1 year and 8 months in which I was denied the opportunity to meet or speak with people, return to my hometown, and even watch the Olympics.
When I open the window, the moon shines in the night sky. Quiet autumn is just around the corner. The summer of the Ippodo artists' battle is over, and beautiful tea utensils are lined up in Ginza.
