The scorching hot summer is coming to an end. Looking up at the night sky, we see the autumn moon.
We will be holding Ippodo's annual "Moonlit Tea Ceremony" tea ceremony utensil exhibition.
The theme for this year's poetry gathering is "Walking with friends" and "Rabbit." (The imperial theme for next year's poetry gathering is "Friends" and the Chinese zodiac sign.)
After spending years not being able to see or talk to people, I've come to realise just how important friends are.
But friends aren't just human.
The things that humans make are also our friends, standing nearby and talking to us.
In the Japanese culture of the tea ceremony, people choose their tools, and those tools help develop the person.
This marks the 23rd time the event has been held, and it brought together outstanding works by 33 craft artists.
Come and find a good friend.
