If I had never encountered a tea bowl,
Maybe he wasn't a potter.
Certainly this is sometimes necessary, just like art in general,
Sometimes it's unnecessary.
As Raku Choinyu writes in his catalogue for Black Rock, White Rock:
"A tea bowl is a tea bowl" has a deep meaning in one repetition
It is identical to Gertrude Stein's "A Rose is a Rose is a Rose."
It is above all spiritual,
It's an exploration of freedom, there's no doubt about that.

The Lascaux Caves are located 20 minutes by car from my hometown of Roubignac in southwestern France.
He visited the site at the age of 13 and was awed by the 20,000-year-old cave paintings.
After studying philosophy and aesthetics at university and earning a doctorate, he came across tea bowls.
The circumstances that led to the two-person exhibition with the 15th generation Raku Kichizaemon at the Sagawa Art Museum in 2020 include:
How passionately Naoiri and Andoche's deep and precious philosophy was discussed in France and Kyoto.
Abstract paintings and tea bowls will be on display at Ginza Ippodo.
