Information on new works by lacquer artist Terumasa Ikeda

Introducing the new work by Ippodo's exclusive artist, Ikeda Terumasa.
While maintaining his traditional lacquer art and ultra-fine mother-of-pearl inlay style, he is now in the midst of creating a new piece that will astonish the world with its unprecedented scale and form.

Ippodo staff visited the creative site and asked Ikeda Terumasa about his thoughts on his lacquerware works.
We have compiled a video of the project, so please take a look. We are currently editing the video, but we will be releasing some of our latest work and interviews in advance.

Ikeda Sensei's new works are scheduled to be exhibited at a solo exhibition at Ginza Ippodo (Friday, September 5th to September 21st, 2025) and at Art Fair Tokyo Gendai (September 12th to 14th, 2025).
