It's not just tea ceremony utensils; you can wrap anything precious or anything you love. A *guinomi* sake cup, a Baccarat glass, an engagement ring box, or even a camera…

With such thoughts in mind, I began creating these *shifuku* pouches. This time, I've made many refreshing pieces perfect for the approaching early summer.

Please enjoy the free combinations of antiques I personally collected and valuable old textiles.

Japanese people cherish their possessions.
Hideyuki Yamada’s shifuku are like clothing for precious objects and keepsakes, not just for tea ceremony utensils.
The joy is in matching the object with the fabric.
Please enjoy his collection.

While working as an advertising agency designer, I began making shifuku (tea ceremony pouches) through self-study, and started showcasing my work at exhibitions and other events. After retirement, I established a shifuku making class alongside my creative work, where I teach my unique techniques.
2022 Published the collection of works "Ore no Shifuku" (Gengi Shobo).
2024 Appeared on NHK E-tele's "Suteki ni Handmade."
