Born in Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture in 1964
1989 Graduated from the Department of Design, Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts
1991 Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts (Master's course)
1991-2000 Art Director at Dentsu Inc.
2001-2008 Associate Professor, Faculty of Arts and Culture, Onomichi University
In 2008, he built a kiln in Atagawa, Izu, Shizuoka Prefecture, and established the studio "Tou to Urushi"
2009- Studied under Ms. Miyako Kobayashi, a lacquer artist affiliated with the Japan Crafts Association
