Born in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture in 1938
1957 Graduated from Tokoname High School, Department of Ceramics, and joined Tile Block Co., Ltd.
1962: Entered Tokoname City Ceramic Art Institute
1966: Independence
1972: 30th Faenza International Ceramic Exhibition (Italy)
1974 Selected for the Japan International Art Exhibition
1979 "Today's Japanese Ceramics" Denver Art Museum (USA)
1982 "Japanese Contemporary Ceramic Art Exhibition" Faenza Exhibition Hall, Japan House in Rome (Italy)
1983 "Japanese Art Today" Exhibition, Geneva History Museum (Switzerland)
Exhibited in "Japanese Ceramics Today" at the Smithsonian Museum (USA) and the Victoria and Albert Museum (UK)
1986 "Japanese Avant-Garde 1910-1970" Exhibition, Pompidou Center (France)
"Contemporary Japanese Ceramics Exhibition" toured the Everson Museum of Art (USA), Poland, Greece, Romania, the Soviet Union, etc.
1989 "Europaia '89 Japan: Ceramics of the Showa Era" Mons Municipal Museum (Belgium)
1992: Became professor at Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts and Music
1994: Built a kiln in Ena-gun, Gifu Prefecture
