1990s

1996

Zakurozaka Gallery opens

With the aim of passing on and developing Japan's beautiful culture to future generations, the gallery "Zakurozaka Gallery" was opened at the New Takanawa Prince Hotel to showcase the works of living artists. It was located in a section of the hotel with an innovative design by Togo Murano. The history of the gallery began in a long, narrow brick cave-like space.

Gotenyama Gallery opens

2000s

2001

Ginza Ippodo opens

Ippodo was opened in Ginza, the cultural center of Japan, with gratitude for the blessings of nature and the hope that a bountiful harvest will be brought about since the Year of the Sheep, bringing people together and prosperity.
The space was designed by owner Aono Keiko's beloved designer Uchida Shigeru, and is beautiful throughout the ages. Works by living artists will be exhibited, continuing the legacy of Zakurozaka Gallery.

2008

Ippodo NY Open

Sachiko Aono opened Ippodo Gallery NY in New York, USA, which bears the name "Ippodo". The gallery connects artists introduced in Ginza to the world. To date, the gallery has exhibited at numerous art fairs, including AIPAD and Design Miami.

2012

Ginza Salon Opens

An exhibition hall with a teahouse has opened in the basement of the Ise-I Building, where Ginza Ippodo is located. It is a Japanese gallery space with a teahouse called "Guan" designed by Tsubaki Construction Co., Ltd.
