Born in Tokyo in 1957
1975 Graduated from Tokyo Metropolitan Arts High School
1980 Graduated from Tokyo Zokei University, Sculpture Department
Learned tea ceremony from Mr. Suzuki Sokan, a master of Urasenke tea ceremony
1991 Father and son exhibition held at Saga Kitcho in Kyoto
1993 Father and son exhibition held at the Mitsukoshi Art Department in Nihonbashi
After that, it was held in Fukuoka and other places.
2001: Takes on the name of Jihei III and becomes the seventh generation woodworker
Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store Art Department Succession Exhibition
Since then, exhibitions have been held every few years.
2009: Production of hearth rims for Myoki-an and Tai-an
2010 Crafts Gallery, National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo
