A new year has dawned, marking a change in the era name.
In this memorable year of 2019, Ippodo will kick off with its 4th "Flying Birds Exhibition."
Last year in the world of sports, young athletes in their teens and twenties amazed the world with their spectacular performances. Meanwhile, in the world of art, artists are working hard day in and day out to create things. In this day and age when society is undergoing major changes in areas such as the global environment, politics, economy, and distribution, even as AI attempts to surpass human capabilities, things made by hand by humans, gentle and beautiful things made with passion, seem sublime and meaningful. These things resonate with the hearts of those who see them, giving them something. I believe that this will never change, no matter what era we live in...
This time, 20 young artists from different genres gathered at Ippodo, and each of them raised their awareness and took time to create their works for the Flying Birds exhibition. I am full of gratitude. Although they are not as flashy as the sports world, I hope that they will also fly into the sky toward the global art market. The world is surely waiting for what they will create. Please take a look at their works and support them by becoming a supporter.
Let's all cheer on these young Japanese artists, the "Flying Birds."
"Japan cha cha cha! Japan cha cha cha!"
