About Ippodo

Beautiful things have “power.”
And there is something mysteriously attractive about people who create "beautiful things."
We are planning to create spaces in Ginza, Gotenyama and New York that bring together such things, people and those who seek them.

"Ichi" represents the beginning, "ho" represents the abundance of fruit, and "do" represents the gathering of many people.
From the perspective of culture and the arts, we aim to create a place that is an extension of everyday life and a place that is the starting point for connections between people.
We have created a space where beautiful Japanese things come together.

Greetings

Keiko Aono

Japan in the world. I think it is time to reexamine the "Wa" cultural lifestyle nurtured by abundant nature and the four seasons.
Traditional culture, art, and crafts are not difficult, but are the origin of our lives. Seasonal events and festivals have meaning, and Japanese festivals held in prayer for good harvests, happiness, and peace also have their own meaning. At the root of all this is a sincere love and gratitude for nature. The tools of happiness used on these occasions are an extension of life, and are not so distant or difficult to understand. Ippodo has a strong desire to leave behind beautiful "wa" things, things, and techniques for people near, far, and in the future.
And what if we could leave something behind and pass it on?
Ippodo's dream continues.
