Ippodo will kick off the new year with the "Flying Birds" exhibition, featuring talented young artists.
This year marks the 9th time the event has been held, and during that time several artists have crossed the ocean and made their way into the global art world.
There is no end to the nasty wars on Earth, but the flying birds are also in the midst of a fierce battle.
The beauty, gentleness and warmth of soulful art and crafts are a source of comfort to people's hearts and seem to act as messengers of peace.

The success of athletes in the sports world was a bright spot in the news last year.
In the world of crafts, Terumasa Ikeda, a master of lacquer and mother-of-pearl inlay, shines like a shining star.
So, who will be the next to take on the world of arts and crafts?
Please come and see the Flying Birds artwork starting on January 12th.
We would be delighted if you could support these birds as they protect Japan's traditional culture and go beyond it to fly into a new world.
We are preparing for the "Flying Birds Masters Exhibition" in March.
Go flying bird Japan, cha cha cha!
