I created tea utensils for the first time in seven years.
I often choose the future as my theme, but this time I chose the past.
I created these pieces while looking back on things I loved as a child and precious memories. I hope that those who see the exhibition will be reminded of their childhood summer memories through my work.

Hori Takaharu

He raises insects like a scholar, believing they came from outer space, and researches their ecology. His white porcelain insects appear to move as if endowed with life.
This is his first solo exhibition at Ichihodo. He created insect-themed tea ceremony utensils.
