Shortly after the start of 2020, the second year of Reiwa, the coronavirus has completely changed the world.
Through this, we learned for the first time the importance of life, the fact that sports, entertainment, music, and the arts exist only because of peace, and the gratitude for the freedom to meet people and travel.
With the ban on the 3 Cs in place, even the tea ceremony in a small tea room is now prohibited... What will happen to the Japanese culture of tea ceremony in the future? I hope that we can continue to protect the tea ceremony and its spirit, which has been passed down since the Muromachi period.
The moon is shining high in the sky. This is the 21st Ippodo's annual "Moonlit Tea Ceremony: Tea Ceremony Utensil Exhibition."
Please come and find a tea ceremony utensil made by a talented artist from earth and wood that will become your "soulmate". Enjoy a cup of tea in peace and tranquility.
