1976 Born in Tatebayashi, Gunma Prefecture
1999 Studied under bamboo artist Shokansai Iizuka (Living National Treasure)
2002: Selected for the 42nd Traditional Crafts New Works Exhibition, and has been selected six times since.
2003: Winner of the Encouragement Award at the 50th Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition, and has been selected 8 times since then
2005 Selected for the 10th Traditional Bamboo and Wood Craft Exhibition, and has been selected four times since.
2006: Received the Tokyo Metropolitan Board of Education Award at the 46th Traditional Crafts New Works Exhibition
Certified as a regular member of the Japan Kogei Association
2008 NEW BAMBOO Exhibition (Japan Society, NY)
2009: Received the Japan Crafts Association Award at the 12th Traditional Bamboo and Wood Crafts Exhibition
Exhibited at the Bamboo Forms Exhibition (Oita Prefectural Art Center)
2010: Received the Hokkaido Governor's Award at the 50th Eastern Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition
2013: Winner of the Kawatoku Award at the 53rd Eastern Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition, and has been selected three times since then
2016: Works included in the collection of the National Gallery of Victoria, Australia
