The pottery created by Shiro Tsujimura, who aspired to be a painter, is beautiful in shape, color, and size. Shiro Tsujimura works in the mountains of Nara, surrounded by nature. His style, which is full of the deep flavor of natural glazes and a powerful presence, has earned him high praise both at home and abroad. His fresh sensibility and unwavering sculpting ability have produced many highly refined works.

Born in Gose, Nara Prefecture in 1947
1965: Became a painter (oil painting)
1969: Started making pottery
1977 First solo exhibition at Mizuma, Nara
1978 Ceramic exhibition at Mitsukoshi, Osaka (3 times)
1983 Ceramic exhibition at Mitsukoshi Main Store, Tokyo (7 times every other year)
1984 Ceramic exhibition at Maruei, Nagoya (6 times every other year)
1985 Solo exhibition at Hankyu Department Store, Osaka (5 times every other year)
1986 Solo exhibition at Mitsukoshi, Matsuyama (twice every other year)
1989 Held a painting exhibition at Hankyu Yurakucho in Tokyo
1990: First solo exhibition at Tachiyoshi Honten in Kyoto, etc.
1992 Solo exhibition at Iwataya in Fukuoka, etc.
1993: Held a solo exhibition at Japan Art in Frankfurt, Germany. Built a kiln and started making pottery in West Dupont, England.
1994 Solo exhibition at Gallery Besson, London
1995: Held his third solo exhibition at Tachiyoshi Honten in Kyoto
1997: Held his fourth solo exhibition at Tachiyoshi Honten in Kyoto
