The 26th annual Ihodo Tea Utensils Exhibition: Moon Season.
This year's theme is “Moonlight.”
Even as the long, hot summer makes Japan's seasons feel altered, the moon visible through the gaps between city buildings still carries the hues of autumn.
How deeply this quiet moon has soothed our hearts!
Even for modern people accustomed to neon and building lights, the beauty of “moonlight” is exceptional.
Next year's Imperial Poetry Gathering theme is “Light” (明). Amidst a chaotic world,
the character for “bright” was surely chosen.
We asked Ichiho-do's proud artists to create their own interpretations of “moonlight”.
