Collection of works by Ken Matsubara

To commemorate this "Wako and Ippodo joint project," a collection of works by Matsubara Ken, "Seisei Ruten," will be published, chronicling his lifelong journey as a painter.

Matsubara Ken is an artist who met his teacher Inoue Mitsunori in his youth and has been creating abstract Japanese paintings ever since.
He has been sensitive to the invisible world, such as Buddhist spirituality and sound, and has depicted it on his canvas.
This book traces the journey of Matsubara Ken's artistic career from his early works to the present, including the works that attracted attention at his solo exhibition "Chaos," held at the Minneapolis Institute of Art (US) from September 2023 to March 2024, as well as "Sun, Moon, Sky, and Sea," which can be considered a culmination of his artistic career, and works currently being exhibited simultaneously at Wako and Ippodo Gallery.
